The Recovery Agent by Janet EvanovichMy rating: 3 of 5 stars
This was fun, but superficial. Gabriela Rose recovers items for insurance companies and private individuals; but gets sent on mission to recover a treasure that can save her home town. It's a bit ridiculous with South American drug cartels, God of Death cults, a bit of supernatural, but comical with action and adventure. There is little character development or depth to the story. It would be a fun action-adventure movie or streaming show. All in all, an enjoyable listen; just some tasty empty calories.
